Catherine is mum of Josh (Senior) and this is Cath's 9th and final season as a parent at the Pennefather Club and 4th year as President. She is passionate about the sport of rowing for teenagers, and has been part of the club since 2014. She has supported her son Sam (Captain of Boats 2017) and daughter Isabel, who both rowed in the 1st
Catherine is mum of Josh (Senior) and this is Cath's 9th and final season as a parent at the Pennefather Club and 4th year as President. She is passionate about the sport of rowing for teenagers, and has been part of the club since 2014. She has supported her son Sam (Captain of Boats 2017) and daughter Isabel, who both rowed in the 1st VIII crews for the final two years of their schooling. Both Sam and Isabel are coaches of the sport. As President of the Pennefather Club, Catherine oversees all initiatives with regards to committee structure and initiatives for parents of rowers in the Program at Caulfield Grammar School. As President , she also manages and drives the club, and encourages parents to participate and involve themselves, which in turn supports their child who rows.
Kate is a rowing parent from Wheelers Hill Campus and provides a unique and necessary role as Vice President and specifically focuses on our parents and rowers from the Wheelers Hill Campus. Her experience with the Regatta Liaison team means that she is fully equipped with knowledge around the Marketing/Comms/Socials Committee Member, as well as members of the Coaching staff such as the Head of Rowing, the Head of Junior Rowing and the Rowing Administrator. Kate is also all over information about regattas, and who publishes the information via squad WhatsApp groups, social media platform, to ensure information is efficiently and professionally provided to parents.
Sally Osmond and Johanna Jansen will head up the Social Events and the Regatta Infrastructure for the Pennefather Club this season. They oversee the implementation and execution of all social occasions. They form sub-committees of rowing parents who volunteer to help at each social event.
The BRO Coordinators are responsible for encouraging rowing parents to become qualified Boat Racing Officials and to undertake the 30-minute online course. Susie is an experienced rowing parent of former rower and now coach Grace, past rower Jack (2021) and current senior rower Oscar. Susie provides valuable advice to committee members and rowing parents with regards to the social programming and the development of the club.
Krissy is an experienced rowing parent of former rowers and now coaches Will and Lexie. Krissy's youngest son Sterling, also known as Buddy, is a first year senior rower. Due to Krissy's extensive involvement in the rowing club over the years, she provides knowledgeable advice with regards to regatta infrastructure and planning of the season.
